Dennis M. and Susan L. Rudnick, of Amityville, announce the engagement of their son Dennis Lance Rudnick to Joy Patzke on September 16, 2008.

Dennis is currently pursuing a doctorate (Ph.D.) in multicultural education at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Joy holds a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. She is the daughter of Mark and Mildred Patzke and the stepdaughter of Linda Patzke.

A summer wedding is planned for 2010. Dennis and Joy will make their home in the Seattle, Washington area.
