Former Massapequa and longtime Lindenhurst resident Robert E. Duley died Sept. 6, 2008 at his home. He was 47.

He was born October 18, 1960 in Bethpage to Eugene W. and Elaine M. (O'Toole) and lived in Amityville for many years before moving to Denver, Colorado. In 2007, he moved back to Long Island and settled in Lindenhurst. For many years he worked as a steamfitter for JMS Sprinklers in Miller Place.

Mr. Duley leaves behind his daughter, Jordan Marie, his mother Elaine M., his siblings, Patricia, Gloria, Suzanne and Christopher and his nieces and nephews, Temika M., Christie and James Quinn. He was predeceased by his father, Eugene, and his brother, Michael.

Deacon John Sheehan, St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, conducted a prayer service at the Powell Funeral home, Amityville, Sept. 10, 2008. Rev. Father Richard T. Stelter, pastor of St. Martin's, officiated at a Mass of Christian Burial Sept. 11, 2008, assisted by the Consolation Ministry and members of the family.
