      The partisan bickering going on in Washington is a slap in the face to every citizen of this country suffering from the economic fallout from the failures of their elected officials to act responsibly and decisively in this mortgage and lending crisis.

What's on tap is not as good as bottled water
      Dear Editor: The Town of Babylon is taking a strong stand on the environment and this sets a great example. I'm not sure if I agree with the Town's position of bottled water, though. First of all, drinking water instead of soft-drinks is probably one of the best things anyone can do for their health.

Reader says Obama is too inexperienced to be the next President
      Dear Editor: Earlier this year Senator Obama finally repudiated Reverend Wright's anti-American, anti-white and anti-Israel sermons, because he had to do it to save his presidential campaign. Wright repeatedly used these sermons over the past 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ, where Obama has been a member for the 20 years.
