Amityville Fire Department readies for tropical storm Hanna

The Amityville Fire Department set up standby crews on Sat., Sept. 6, prepared for tropical Storm Hanna. The Department started the standby at noon, and crews were dismissed 10 that night. No major incidents occurred during the storm. The volunteers are shown in the photo. Asst. Chiefs Russell Sawyer, Charlie Scudlo and Robert Waegerle were in charge.
