J.D. Lawrence, a resident of the Town of Baby­lon, received two special recognition awards from Town Supervisor Steve Bellone, a certificate for dis­tinguished achievement from the County Legislative office, a proclamation from County Executive Steve Levy and a special recognition from Congressman Steve Israel for Lawrence's contribution to the per­forming arts. Lawrence is now taking his brand of dramedy to 40 million homes across the country. The acclaimed thespian and playwright will also be tour­ing with his new stage play, The Clean Up Woman, this fall 2008, where he will be playing over five characters on stage.
