A dinner and reception for the veterans was held at the Air Power Museum, Republic Airport Farmingdale, July 24. The following morning a ceremony was held at Babylon Town Hall and the veterans and their supporters rode from Babylon through Amityville, Massapequa and Seaford to Wantagh Parkway south to Long Island's Beaches. The Wounded Warrior Project is a national organization to raise money for, and awareness of those American soldiers seriously injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.
