The North Amityville community held its annual Fes­tival and Parade Sat., June 7, under a blazing sun and high temperatures. Despite the weather, the event drew record crowds who found it a wonderful community event. Following the parade, there were special events, food and fun for everyone. Public officials, including Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone attended and the special guest was Kia Wright, a graduate of Copi­ague High School who was an all-star basketball player and went on to attend St. John's University, where she also played basketball
