North Amityville man seriously injured                              in drive-by shooting

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a drive by shooting that left a North Amityville man seriously injured Tuesday. Police gave this account:

Brandon Lee, 21, of 6 Rainbow La., North Amityville, was standing at the corner of Somerset Road and Avon Drive in North Amityville when a man drove by and shot him in the leg at 5:45 p.m. The shooter then fled in a black vehicle.                    Lee was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center by a North Amityville Fire Department ambulance and he has undergone surgery to his leg. Lee is listed in serious condition.                    The shooter is described as a black male in his early 20s with a light complexion. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
