The Amityville Woman's Club had its annual meeting and closing luncheon May 13 at the Unqua Corinthian Yacht club. Each committee head gave a report detailing what her committee had accomplished during the year. A luncheon was then served.

Award ceremonies took place after dessert and then 24 new members were welcome. The following members were honored for their longevity in the club: Peggy Van Nostrand, 55 years; Ruth Annunziato, 50 years; Nancy Pemberton and Terri Smith, 45 years and Ann Reale and Carol Perkins, 40 years.

After the ceremonies Rachel Erath retired the current officers and then installed the new officers for 2008-2010.

The new officers, shown left to right, are Sue Johnson, Joan Sutermeister, Barbara Lozier, Melanie Dorner (back), Ann Real (front), Diane Apgar, new President Mary Ann Costa, Rachel Erath, retiring President Adrienne Miller and Betty Shave.
