Andrew Pappas, of Amityville, a junior at Kellenberg Memorial High School, recently won the 135 pound Catholic High School State wrestling championship. Some of his matches included wins over the number one seed from Buffalo, the number four seed from Staten Island and the number two seed from Chaminade High School in the finals. This qualified him to represent the New York State Catholic High School at the New York State Division One Public wrestling tournament in Rochester, New York.
