Longtime Amity Harbour and Lindenhurst resident Wilbert "William" Huggler, died March 1, 2008. He was 90 years old. Mr. Huggler was an accomplished luthier, or violin maker, having studied under a world's leading master, Simone F. Sacconi. He obtained the highest achievement in his profession, an International Gold Medal from The Violin Society in 1976.
