Red Carpet fashion show held at Broadlawn Manor
Broadlawn Manor's Social Day Care held its 2008 Red Carpet Fashion Show, Wed., Jan. 30, 2:00 p.m. Rosemarie Dettling, coordinator at Day Care, greeted all the guests. Models lined up in the outer wings and emcee Rosemarie Dettling, opened the show.
Dettling thanked all her guests, models and staff for their support in preparing for the show. She emphasized the valued contribution of the St. Martin's of Amityville Thrift Shop who donated beaded dresses, sequened tops, men's apparel and a wedding gown.
One after another each model walked, smiled, turned and waved to the audience as guests admired their outfits and presentation. Fashion houses such as Oscar De La Renta, Armani, and Calvin Klein were presented. Long evening gowns, tea length dresses, elegant sets, blazers, and suits donned the runway. Coordinating shoes, purses, jewelry and top hats finished off the look.
Last, the final couple modeled their outfits including the groom who sported khaki pants, a navy blazer, a soft blue shirt with a striped coordinated tie and cap; while the bride wore a white designer A-Line gown, with a square neck beaded at the yoke and a scooped back with a matching shawl. Shown in the photo are Sally Russo and Buddy Kletchka.
