Michael Dixon, an Amityville senior, is one of only 1,600 students nationwide selected as a Finalist by the National Achievement Scholarship Program. All finalists will be considered for National Achievement Scholarships to be offered to outstanding Black American students in 2008.

This award is based upon Michael's achievement on the PSAT given by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). He is shown in photo with Dr. Scott Andrews, principal of AMHS.
