Suffolk Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services Commissioner Joe Williams, left, presented Proclamations on behalf of County Executive Steve Levy to several retiring Deputy County Fire Coordinators.

Absent were John Washabaugh of Southampton, Paul Quarty of Greenport and Richard McGowin of Montauk. Commissioner Williams thanked the retiring coordinators for their dedicated service to Suffolk County. The Fire Coordinators assist the Fire Chiefs at major fires and emergencies with mutual aid and resources available from the County. The presentations took place at a recent training session for the County's Fire Coordinators held at the Fire Academy in Yaphank.
