Frances Misso celebrates 100 years
Frances Misso, or "Foxy Fran" as she is known to her friends, recently celebrated her 100th birthday at Dominican Village in Amityville.

Born in Brooklyn, Frances has lived in Queens and various areas of New York City throughout her life. She now resides at Dominican Village, where she has been a resident for the past 15 years. Family, friends and staff all worked together to throw Misso a surprise party to celebrate this momentous occasion. She enjoyed the party with her sisters, nieces and nephews, who all contributed with speeches and their favorite memories of her lifetime. Despite her age, Frances continues to be active and enjoys writing poetry, which she strives to share with fellow residents and friends.
