Amity school district welcomes new teachers

New teacher orientation took place for almost 25 newly hired teachers in all areas across the Amityville Public School District. The threeday training and welcoming session will help prepare the district's newest teachers in protocol and district policies, as well as foundational information to prepare for their new students, curricula, and classrooms.

During their introduction to the district, new teachers had the opportunity to meet administrators and Board of Education members, and to learn the history of Amityville during a visit to the local historical museum.

Shown in the photo, are the new staff members, ready for opening day on September 5.
