Copiague schools honor unsung heros

During the Nov. 6 Superintendent's Conference Day, Superintendent of Schools Dr. William R. Bolton took a few moments prior to the start of the day's program to honor six members of his staff for their exceptional work. Great Neck Road fourth-grade teacher Carol Gamba, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel and Special Education Dr. Thomas Giannotti, Middle School English teacher Trudy Felicetti, Deauville Gardens fifth-grade teacher Jan Leimone, Middle School physical education teacher Todd Rauch, and Susan E. Wiley head custodian Tom Tilton were all recognized for their service.

"These individuals are people who come to work and do their best every day," said Dr. Bolton. "They come and give their best, look out for the children of our District and never expect anything in return. These six individuals are unsung heroes."

After giving a brief description about each person that makes them an "unsung hero", they were each presented with a medallion that bares the District logo and motto.
