Junior League of Amityville Woman's Club announces 52nd annual Holiday Homes Tour The Junior League of the Amityville Woman's Club, Inc. will hold its 52nd Annual Holiday Homes Tour, entitled Lights, Camera, Christmas, Saturday, December 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Incorporated Village of Amityville. This year's Tour will feature the Christmas classics (It's A Wonderful Life, White Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Carol and Holiday Inn.) The Holiday Homes Tour is a tradition and will showcase five homes, each one festively and uniquely decorated for the holiday season with handmade ornaments and custom decorations designed to highlight the individual style of each home. The Tour will feature a holiday tea served by Junior League President Martina Higgins and Vice President Tara Wheeler. Featured homes include a Victorian home with wraparound porch and stained glass windows; a New England style Colonial overlooking the Great South Bay just steps from the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club; a 1920's Colonial tucked away just across from the Amityville Beach, located on the canal; a new Center Hall Colonial that combines traditional styling with a state of the art kitchen; and a 1930's completely redone Center Hall Colonial with Tuscan inspired kitchen and two fireplaces. Tickets for the Holiday Homes Tour are $15 and may be purchased at any of the following Village locations beginning mid November: Bella Maison or A'lure Salon and Day Spa on Merrick Road; Amy's Gift Shop or Marcela's Country Petals on Park Avenue; Self Image Salon, Johnson's Florist or Wee Bee Country Florist on Broadway. Tickets may also be purchased at any of the five featured homes on the day of the Tour: the home of Nick and Sai Hundal at 45 Grand Central Ave. (tea house); home of Steve and Lisa Davi at 40 Unqua Pl.; home of Bill and Patty Angelone at 200 Bayview Ave.; the home of Tom and Lauryn Haffner at 294 South Bayview Ave.; and the home of Patrick and Lynda Weber at 81 Norman Ave., Amityville.
The Junior League of the Amityville Woman's Club, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization. All proceeds from the Tour are used to fund donations to local charities, community service organizations and scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
