Doris McKnight: AMHS graduate West Babylon resident Doris Y. McKnight, who was a security officer for the North Babylon School District, died September 17, 2007. She was 51 years old. Born in Manhasset to John and Christine (nee Gregory) McKnight, she was a graduate of the Amityville Memorial High School. Ms. McKnight leaves behind her mother, Christine; her siblings: Milton, Ronald, Eleanor and Evelyn; and her stepbrothers: George and James Vaughan. She was predeceased by her father, John W.; her brothers: Jerry Carter and John Baptist; her stepbrother, Leon Vaughan; and her stepsister, Margaret Vaughan.
Visitation was held at Trinity Baptist Church. A Funeral Service was officiated by The Reverend Dr. Robert D. Abbott by interment in Amityville Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of Powell Funeral Home in Amityville.
