Carol Hendrickson 1959 AMHS graduate, at 66

Carol Mott Hendrickson, who graduated in 1959 from Amityville Memorial High School with honors, died September 18, 2007 in Spring City, Pennsylvania. She was 66 years old and lived on Forest Place in Amityville for more than 30 years.

She was born in Ja- maica, Queens, moved to Copiague and graduated its junior high school in 1956 as class valedictorian. For more than 20 years she worked for General Electric, then Lockheed Martin as a bookkeeper.

According to her husband Harold, she loved to do ceramics and spend time on the water on the family's boat.

Mrs. Hendrickson leaves behind her husband of 47 years, Harold; her beloved dog, Pepper; her sister Arlene and brother-in-law George McDermott; nephews: Richard, Edward, George; and five grand nieces.

A private cremation was held by the family. A religious ceremony and interment will be held at a future date in Long Island Veteran's Cemetery.
