Local Art Group Offers Woodcarving Program

As part of the Amityville Artists' Circle's new series of programs devoted to the arts and culture, Roger Schroeder offers An Introduction to Woodcarving. An accomplished carver who has won numerous blue ribbons in major competitions, and an author of a dozen books on carving, Schroeder will bring together the history, tools and techniques of an art form that continues to capture the imagination of people around the globe. Come prepared to be educated, entertained and to make a few chips as well. Tools and wood will be provided for those who wish to try their hand at woodcarving.

Roger Schroeder's program is scheduled for, Friday, October 12, 7 p.m. at the Circle Gallery, 186 Broadway, Amityville. For information, call Irene Greenhalgh at 631-598-2182.
