Boy Scouts build wood cubicles for kindergarten class

St. Martin of Tours in Amityville got some assistance from the Boy Scouts. Eagle Scout Kevin Ormiston of Boy Scout Troop 356 in Centereach designed and constructed wood cubbies for the kindergarten classes. The cubbies are used to hold the students books and pencil boxes. Kevin built 30 sturdy cubbies for each class. As a finishing touch, he painted the cubbies a vibrant blue. Kevin delivered and installed the cubbies on a Saturday with fellow Scout, Rob Butera. Kindergarten teachers, Maureen Dalton and Annemarie Zimmermann, along with their assistants, Kathleen Bently and Charlene Masucci and their classes gave a big thank you to Kevin and Rob.
