St. Martin students clean up Robert Moses State Park

St. Martin of Tours in Amityville helps clean up Robert Moses State Park.

September 15 was Senator Owen Johnson's 22nd annual beach cleanup. Students at St. Martins in Amityville are required to do service hours throughout the year and thought the idea of working with the Senator on a cleanup was a wonder- ful opportunity, students from the 6th, 7th and 8th grades worked to help save the Long Island shoreline.

Volunteers came from all over- a total of 373. That day a total weight of 2,400 pounds of debris was removed.
