St. Paul's to present program on Christian faith Sept. 24

St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 147 Park Ave., Amityville will present the Alpha program, popular overview of the Christian faith, beginning Monday, September 24, 7 p.m.

Each Monday meeting of the ten-week course begins with dinner. Each evening also includes a video presentation and group discussion. The course is suitable both as a "refresher" for church-goers and as an introduction to Christianity for those exploring the faith for the first time.

The Alpha course was developed by Nicky Gumbel, a clergyman in the Church of England, who serves as the speaker in the video series. The program has become popular in many nations and among many churches.

There is no fee for the course. St. Paul's will receive free-will offerings to defray the cost of materials and dinner. To register, call 631-264-0763.
