How real is Bush border plan?
Our first reaction is that it seems to be too little too late, but with some optimism we're encouraged to see that President George W. Bush has proposed moving forward with several initiatives to protect our borders, including building miles of fencing and increasing the number of border guards. The President has been pitifully negligent in addressing what most Americans want to see happen at our borders. His lack of courage, political will and action on this issue has been one of the biggest disappointments of his administration. Coming on the heels of the sell-out Amnesty plan promoted by his administration and Congress, this latest move seems like a little red meat being thrown to a hungry den of lions. Let's make sure the President and Congress continue to hear us roar.
