TOB annual fishing tournament

Town of Babylon officials announced that the Town, in conjunction with the Striper Surf Club, will host its first annual Surf Fishing Tournament in September. "Surf Fishing can be enjoyed by all and I am happy to host the first annual Town of Babylon Surf Fishing Tournament," said Councilman Lindsay Henry.

Registration for the Surf Fishing Tournament is $10 per family if you pre-register and $20 to register the day of the event (by noon-Cedar Beach parking lot. Registration forms are available in the Town Council office or by calling 631 957- 4482. Registration forms must be postmarked by August 31.

"We are hosting both adult and children's divisions in our tournament and on Sunday, September 16th an awards ceremony will take place at the Cedar Beach Parking Lot at 1 p.m. said Councilman Henry. "Come and enjoy our beautiful beaches and at the same time engage in a competitive fishing tournament."

Tournament to be held on September 14, 15 & 16th from the western border of Gilgo State Park to the Sore Thumb at Fire Island Inlet.
