St. Martin of Tours holds mass for retiring teacher

St. Martin of Tours school in Amityville held a mass for Sister Maureen Galvin, who is retiring from the school after 20 years of service as principal.

Under the leadership of first grade teacher Sister Marge Miller, the school's students and staff not only attended a mass but also read poems, a fictional story of Sister's new job as coach of her beloved Mets and sang songs.

Shown in the photo, the fifth grade class hold up their special message for Sister Galvin.
