MPK summer festival to be held August 11/12 The annual summer festival, sponsored by the Massapequa Park Merchants Association, is being held Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Park Boulevard. This year's features include the ever-popular international food fest with everything from American hot dogs to Italian zeppole. There will be entertainment and amusement rides in the streets along Park Boulevard, just one block north of Sunrise Highway. Special music and entertainment is planned for Saturday and Sunday and there will be special sales and merchandise. On both days there will be special events at the Showmobile. Two karate shows and demonstrations will be featured, together with an ice cream eating contest.
Park Boulevard will be closed to vehicular traffic on both days. Park Boulevard is one block north of Sunrise Highway, approximately one quarter of a mile west of the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa. There is ample parking. For additional information, call 798-5100.
