Amity Woman's Club donates to School District

Shown in the photo are Jean Castalde and Adele Muncy, chairman of the Philanthropy Committee of the Amityville Woman's Club, presenting a check to Dr. Brian De Sorbe in the amount of $4,500 payable to the Amityville Union Free School District. The check is being deposited in the General Fund for the three elementary schools. Each school will receive $1,500. This is for each elementary building principal to work with their school nurse in earmarking their $1,500 for distribution to their schools neediest students in the area for school supplies, basic necessities, etc.

Shown in the photo at right are Pat O'Neill, director of the Amityville Village Senior Center and Ann Nicmczyk of the Senior Center being presented with a check from Adele Muncy, chairman of the Philanthropy Committee of the Amityville Woman's Club in the amount of $500.

The funds were raised at the Amityville Woman's Club Fashion Show at the Southward Ho Country Club held on April 18.
