•Named to the dean's list at Nassau Community College from Amityville are Brian Carter, Lynn M. Cecere, Daniel J. 'Elia, Devin M.Dambrosio, Ashley E. Dunn, Patrick B. Hopper, Meloni E. Jones, Vincent E. Myers and Daysi S. Rosario and from Copiague are Elmer D. Escobar, Gino N. LoBianco, Lissette Marmol, Danielle M. Singer, Jokasta Taveras and Nazan Yalman.

•Jenna Goldstein, of Amityville, received a bachelor of art in psychology from the State University of New York at New Paltz at the May 20 commencement.

•The following local residents received degrees from the State University of New York College at Cortland: From Amityville are Keri La'Sha Fields,Kelly Anne Kowalski, Charles David Taylor and Daniel Lewis Wade.

•Named to the dean's list at SUNY Cortland for the spring semester from Amityville are Colleen Breen Johnson, Kelly Anne Kowalski, David Charles Taylor and Daniel Lewis Wade.

•The following local residents were named to the dean's list at the State University of New York at New Paltz for the spring semester: From Amity Harbor is Kimberly Ruth; From Amityville are Kaitlyn Small, Michael Wengen and Jenna Goldstein and from Copiague are Michelle Manda and Harry Sudwischer.

•Named to the dean's list at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Connecticut for the spring semester are Caitlin Rousseau and Meagan Rolla of Amityville and Jessica Leppla of Copiague.

•Stacy J. Cohen of Amity Harbor was named to the dean's list for the second semester at Saint Anselm college, Manchester, New Hampshire. Cohen is a member of the class of 2009 and the daughter of Linda J. Cohen.

•At the May 21 commencement of Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, the following local residents received degrees: Daniel Viafore, of Amityville, received a bachelor of arts in secondary education and history from the university's Carolyn A. and Peter S. Lynch School of Education and Christopher Williams, of Copiague, received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the university's College of Arts and Sciences.
