Cohen of Amity Harbor was named to the dean's list for the second semester at Saint Anselm college, Manchester, New Hampshire. Cohen is a member of the class of 2009 and the daughter of Linda J. Cohen.
•At the May 21 commencement of Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, the following local residents received degrees: Daniel Viafore, of Amityville, received a bachelor of arts in secondary education and history from the university's Carolyn A. and Peter S. Lynch School of Education and Christopher Williams, of Copiague, received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the university's College of Arts and Sciences.
