•The Amityville Public Library invites you to be a part of its history by purchasing a brick to be placed in the Centennial Anniversary Garden walkway. Bricks can celebrate a happy event, commemorate an achievement, memorialize a loved one, or honor an organization. The Garden is a living landmark celebrating 100 years of service to the community. Order forms are available at the Library. The cost of each engraved brick is $75 and allows for up to three lines of 14 characters each. Order form, with payment, must be submitted by July 31.

•A program in advanced Sodoku will be held tonight, Wednesday, July 18, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Get help solving those multi-starred Sodoku puzzles. Learn how to find naked pairs and hidden triples and practice other hints to unlock the mysteries of the latest puzzle craze. Join Joanne Noonan as she returns to the library to teach more strategies for solving Sodoku puzzles.

•A program on reverse mortgages will be held Tuesday, July 24, 7 to 8 p.m. Martin Dekom will explain what a reverse mortgage is and will outline the advantages and disadvantages of having one. you will leave this program with the information you need to decide if a reverse mortgage will benefit you.
