Amityville:

The Warriors' baseball team won one game earlier in the season and their 17 losses weren't sitting well towards the final game of the year. So, they tacked on one more win to finish the season at 2-17. Kevin Melia hit a triple in the seventh inning against Shelter Island and Dennis McDonough knocked him in with a walk-off single to win the game.

Copiague:

After losing three straight games, the boys' lacrosse team won its final game of the season, 11-7, over North Babylon. D.J. Buckey scored five goals in the contest.
