Kiwanis Club assists in Boy Scout crossover

Susan Martin, a member of the Massapequa Kiwanis Club and Lieutenant Governor of the Long Island South Central Division of Kiwanis, recently helped Michael Budd crossover from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts.

Budd, a senior Webelo with Amityville's Cub Scout Pack 2 crossed over to Massapequa Boy Scout Troop 776. Budd asked Lt. Governor Martin to assist him in the crossover because of her high position in the Kiwanis organization.

Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time- locally, through Kiwanis club sponsored activities and programs and globally through the Kiwanis International Worldwide Service Project and other worldwide initiatives. Kiwanis members are service-minded men and women united in their commitment to compassion for others. Working with local scouts is just one way in which Kiwanians make a difference in the lives of local children.
