BVCA gives voice to interests of homeowners

The Bay Village Civic Association recently incorporated to give voice to the interests of homeowners in their quest to preserve home values and quality of life in the Village of Amityville. Also known as the BVCA, the group hopes to enhance the charm and character of Amityville.

As part of their mission, the BVCA recently joined forces with Corinne Budde and her group of volunteers on the Amityville Parks Commission. Together they added annuals to various beds and planters throughout the Village. Future collaborations are planned.

On June 9, the Civic Association participated in the Amityville Historical Society's Heritage Fair. Despite a few raindrops, it was a successful day.

For the Fourth of July parade, the group plans to have several cars on display. Members are encouraged to join in the parade as marchers or spectators.

Shown at the Heritage Fair are BVCA Board members, Kathleen Boyle, secretary and Joan Donnison,
