Copiague Student honored for Science Achievements

Trinh Nguyen, a senior at Walter G. O'Connell Copiague High School, was recently honored as its Outstanding Senior Science Student at the 31st Annual Awards Dinner of the Suffolk Section of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS). The high school Science Department, Principal Michael Hodgkiss, and her science mentor Michael Dervin sel ected Trinh for this honor based on her outstanding science achievem ents throughout her high school career.

The Suffolk Section of STANYS is an association of science educators, kindergarten through college, working to make science education in New York State, and especially in Suffolk County, better.
