Amity Woman's Club awards scholarship

Johanna Hernandez, a June graduate of Amityville Memorial High School, was awarded the Naomi Griffith Scholarship by the Amityville Woman's Club. This scholarship is given to a girl graduate who expects to go to college and prepare for the future.

This fall, Hernandez will be attending St. Joseph's College in Patchogue as an education major. Hernandez also received the Amityville Parent/ Teacher's Award, the Amityville Kiwanis Club Award and the Helen L. Ferris Memorial Award.
