Girl Scouts send cookies to troops

Babylon's Girl Scouts join with the Town of Babylon and the Marine Corps League to send a truckload of Girl Scout cookies to the U.S.Soldiers serving overseas and in military hospitals. The effort, "Operation Cookie" Campaign, was recognized by Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone, and Town officials as Bellone welcomed the scouts at Town Hall May 25. They loaded the first shipment of cookies and sent them on their way. More than 1.5 million Girl Scout cookies have been sent to the military over the last four years of the project.
