Students complete community service

Students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade in St. Martin of Tours in Amityville are required to complete three hours of community service each trimester during the school year. Several sixth graders chose The Knights of Columbus "Adopt A Battalion" program as their service project. The students collected snack items in their neighborhoods. They packed 10 large boxes of treats to be sent over to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Student participants, left to right, are Katie Laudicina, Caroline Tofalli and Erin Moore. Mitchell Dull is not shown.
