DAR holds board meeting

Col. Gilbert Potter Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met at the home of Jeannette Krauszer of Amityville for their annual board meeting, fingertip luncheon and regular meeting. The guest speaker was Amityville Police Detective Bruce Pescitelli whose topic was identity theft and he impressed upon the group to be aware of scam artists, purse thieves and their personal papers that should be shredded at all times. Refreshments were supplied by Judy Rountry of Freeport , hostess Jeannette Krauszer and Karen Mormando of North Massapequa. Kay Dewar of Massapequa poured the tea. Plans were formulated for the annual June Philanthropic Luncheon to take place at Southward Ho Country Club on June 21 with speaker Pat Hogebroom, author of Idle Hours: The Grace and The Glory. The next business meeting will be held at the home of Mary Menkes of Massapequa and the board members will be installed by District Director Norma V. Plett.
