Real girls needed for American Girl Doll fashion show

Our Lady of Perpetual Help School will be hosting the American Girl Fashion Show November 2 to 4, at the school, 240 South Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst.

The show includes an historic collection, with girls modeling the clothing worn by the historic dolls from Addy through the new Emily doll (Molly's friend). The girls wear day clothes, special occasion clothing as well as sleepwear. In addition, young models will wear clothing as seen in the current American Girl catalog, including Bitty Baby clothes for younger girls. There's a mix of history, fashion and fun that really is an enjoyable outing for moms and daughters.

If your daughter, granddaughter or niece has dreamed of becoming one of the American Girl Dolls, now is her chance. The school is looking for girls size six or size 10 to model. Models must be able to attend a fitting (first weekend in October), a dress rehearsal (weekend of October 20th) and one of the four shows (November 2 to 4). If interested, please contact Tricia Buckley at buckleyt@optonline.net.
