Westfield Partners with Amityville School District on Career Building Opportunities

For the second year, Westfield Sunrise partnered with Amityville Schools on key district initiatives. These programs include World of Work Tours & Job Shadowing. Through these outreach programs, Westfield representatives teach students about the career opportunities that are available in the mall management industry.

The World of Work Tour includes a tour of the center and how it operates from behind the scenes. The Job Shadow program, which is geared toward high school juniors and seniors, allows students to watch or "shadow" management as they go through their work day routines.

"This is a great way for the students to see if this is a career path they would like to pursue," stated Trish Ketelsen, Marketing Director for Westfield Sunrise.
