Sophia's Garden & Learning Center festivities June 23 On Saturday, June 23, Sophia Garden & Learning Center will present Gardeners & 'Gators, featuring the hot Long Island zydeco band, T'bazco Road.The event will benefit Sophia Garden & Learning Center and the New Orleans Musicians Clinic. Sophia Garden is a local community supported garden on the grounds of the Sisters of St. Dominic Motherhouse in Amityville.The Gar - den grows all its produce without the use of chemicals or pesticides.The Sophia Learning Center sponsors programs for children and adults emphasizing that the human and natural world is one community. Gardeners & 'Gators begins in the garden at 6 p.m. with a special children's program and puppet show followed by music, dancing, and refreshments from 7 to11 p.m. in Helen Butler Hall at Dominican Village, 565 Albany Ave., Amityville.
Tickets are $30 per adult and $10 per child, which includes admission to the special children's program. Special reserved seating $275.00 for tables of ten. No tickets at the door/ all tickets are advance sale only.
