Jack Glazer: Copiague Attorney & local longtime resident

Longtime Copiague attorney Jack D. Glazer died May 2, 2007 at Highland Beach, Florida. He was 74 years old and had lived in both Amityville and Massapequa.

He was born and raised in a home on Ketcham Avenue in Amityville and was a Amity High School graduate. After he married, he moved to Riverside Street in Amityville before moving to Fairfax Road in Massapequa. For 35 years, he owned and operated his own law firm on Merrick Road in Copiague. When he retired, he moved to Highland Beach, Florida.

According to his son, Michael, he was an avid collector of art who loved to attend cultural events and spend time on his boat. His parents were the founders of the former Beth Sholom Center of Amityville and the Massapequas on County Line Road.

Mr. Glazer leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Eileen; his children: Leslie and Ken, Michael and Doug and Suzy and Dave; his grandchildren who called him Zayda: Alexander and Martine Jacobs and Philip and Samara Spiler; and his siblings: Victor and Mary.

The family received friends in Highland Beach, Florida and held a private burial.
