Coalition Against Violence contest awards ceremony to be held May 22 The Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (SCCADV) is sponsoring its fifth annual Express This! Contest for students in grades seven to twelve. The contest asks students to submit creative works of writing, music, performance, or visual art. Over 150 works have been submitted. The theme for this year's contest is the Cycle of Violence. An awards ceremony honoring participants and winners will be held May 22 at the Sachem Public Library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Prizes will include gift certificates to restaurants and music stores, concert tickets, sporting event tickets and many others. This year's keynote sponsors are King Kullen grocery stores and the Sachem Public Library.
