Amityville Woman's Club holds luncheon meeting

The Amityville Woman's Club held a luncheon meeting, March 13, at the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club.

Mary Ann Costa, first vice president and program coordinator, featured Corinne Timor as the speaker. Timor is a wedding consultant, located in Westhampton and she defined for the audience some of the responsibilities of a wedding consultant and discussed the many changes which have occurred over the years, of the different types of ceremonies, the varied styles and colors of wedding dresses and the big and small parties that surround these special events. She also shared some special stories from her own personal recollections. Many members brought their own wedding albums to share and Betty Shave, a member, brought her great grandmother's wedding photo from 1867.

Girl Scout cookies were also sold and monies collected to send boxes of these cookies to our Armed Forces presently serving in Iraq. It was a very interesting

and fun-filled afternoon.

Shown in the photo, back row, are Jane Linehan, Adele Muncy, Past President Ethel MacGill, Third Vice President Diana Apgar and President Adrienne Miller.
