Collision at Merrick and Richmond

Amityville Village Firefighters rushed to the scene of an auto accident at Merrick Road and Richmond Avenue April 12, Chief Arthur Smith in charge. Apparently a SUV was heading east on Merrick Road and collided into a vehicle pulling out from Richmond Avenue. A young female driver was injured in that accident and taken to the hospital by 1-1-12. Ten police, firefighters and rescue personnel were on hand. Photo by Joe Turner
