+The Senior Citizen Mobile Information Van will be at the Library Wednesday, May 9, 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. A senior advocate will be on hand to discuss programs and benefits for older individuals and can assist in providing senior citizen ID cards and referrals on the many programs and services available to persons 60 and older. No registration is required. The program is free to all.

+On Saturday, May 5, the Amityville Library will offer a genealogy double feature and lunch. Basic Genealogy will be offered from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will teach the steps of getting started in examining your family's history. Lunch will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. followed by historian, genealogist, freelance writer and business owner Sandi Brewster-Walker who will discuss the use of different research methods presented earlier in the day. Registration is underway.
