Anthony Torre of the US Army visits Troop 284

Specialist Anthony Torre of the U.S. Army visited with Copiague Troop 284 to thank its members. Torre recently came home after spending a number of months recovering in Walter Reed Hospital from injuries received in Iraq. Torre passed around his Purple Heart medal for the Scouts to look at and thanked them for the care package they sent him at the hospital. The items were donated by Amityville Firestone, Amityville Fire Department, Copiague School Teachers Association, Lindenhurst Post Office, Kiwanis Club of Copiague and the USPSof Brooklyn.
