Harold Pilutik: retired NYFD

Copiague resident and New York City Firefighter Harold "Harry" J. Pilutik died February 4, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip. He was 61.

Born April 8, 1945 in Jamaica, New York to Frank and Mildred (Burns), he later served in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1967. He was a New York City Firefighter, based at Ladder Company 120 at Watkins Street, Brooklyn at the time of his retirement.

Mr. Pilutik leaves behind his wife, Sharon; his children: Christopher and his wife Kelly, Gregory and James; his mother, Mildred; his siblings: Peggy Frisa and her husband Nick and Robert; his grandchildren: Christopher, Jr., Kylie; his nieces and nephews Lisa and Nicholas and their families; as well as other loved ones and friends.

He reposed at the Powell Funeral Home, Amityville on February 7, 2007 with a VFW funeral service and a Fire Department Honor Guard. A private cremation was held on February 8, 2007.
