Become a Suffolk County Police Officer

The Suffolk County Police Department is offering an entrance examination on June 9. Candidates must be between the ages of 19 and 34 on the day of the exam. Up to six years is deducted from your age for prior military duty (Military Law Section 243.10-A). The last filling date for this exam is April 11.

Benefits include a starting salary over $57,000, a pension after twenty years of service, and full medical coverage. (Based on the 2007 labor agreement.)
